We provide students with the necessary skills needed to act as competent and confident first responders.
Our team of instructors all have a background in Emergency Medical Services. Whether active or retired, you will be certified by an EMT, Fire Fighter, Paramedic or Nurse. The majority of our instructors also teach Emergency Medical Education at the collegiate level.
We’ve had the privilege of providing First Responder education under the PROTERA CPR name since 2016. Although founded in 2016, Most of our instructors have been teaching for much longer.
To date, the founder, Mike Jarrous, has certified over 6,ooo students as an individual. Collectively, the team is well over 15,000 students certified.
Michael lives with his beautiful family in Bonsall California. He has been blessed with a supportive wife, Lindsey, whom enjoys running the family business together. They have two amazing daughters, Brinlee and Abigail. Michael was born and raised in the area and is proud to call Bonsall home.
He is the owner of PROTERA CPR. One of his life missions, through PROTERA, is to educate people on the value of learning how to provide quality CPR and First Aid. Michael earned his 200 hour Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) from Crafton Hills College in 2012. Later that year he passed the National Registry for EMT’s. He is recognized as a certified Instructor for CPR/AED/BLS and First Aid training through the American Heart Association, The American Red Cross and The Health and Safety institute. His journey as an instructor began in 2008.
As an educator, Michael currently teaches Emergency Medical Education courses at the collegiate level, has coached collegiate athletes, has mentored youth, and has given much of his adult life to teaching and creating a positive impact in the lives of others.
His success as an educator can largely be attributed to the exceptional coaches, mentors, family, and friends who continue to serve as his driving inspiration. Above all, Michael gives thanks to God for placing him on earth to inspire others through education.
We love what we do. Teaching people how to become confident & capable first responders is what our programs are all about. We teach with a high level of energy that will keep you engaged throughout the entire class. We also make each and every class, FUN!
This might sound odd, but we wholeheartedly believe that you will enjoy our First Responder training so much that you’ll tell your friends and family about it.
